Fanart has improved my artwork as well, especially when it comes to drawing expressions so the internet definitely is good for something as except procrastination. And I learned bookbinding pretty much form youtube tutorials instead of expensive extracurricular classes so another point to the net.
I hope the new season of True Blood is better than the last one. I need more Eric, Pam and Jessica, those are pretty much the only characters I care about. Sookeeh and Bill can gtfo.
Yeah, my expressions have definitely improved. So much of my rl work is historically based that I have to pull from a billion photographs to recreate people - or make a puppet. Doing that for fan art has made the process so effortless no. FAN ART I LOVE YOU. YOU HAVE IMPROVED MY LIFE.
Internet tutorials are such a great thing. I listen to lectures online for classes I would normally not have time to take, learn languages. Always wondered where you learned to book bind :)

The only parts of this past season I really enjoyed were Lafayette and his bf (bb deserves some love), Tara's storyline and Errrrrrrrrrricccccccccc. More tertiary characters in general would be great. New season so soon!!!!!!!!!!!
You make puppets as reference for illus ? That never occurred to me but it sounds awesome :D
I actually started bookbinding when I stumbled over an lj community for handmade books that had a whole link list for online tutorials. I've also learned some things form books but video tutorials are much better when it comes to explaining tricky things.
I think Lafayette and his witchy powers are going to be featured a lot in the new season, I saw some previews over on ontd that hinted at it, so you're in luck. Personally I just want amnesia!Eric an more badass Pam.
