Am in town, but for an uncertain duration: P. developed appendicitis on Sunday, just a day after I flew back from Miami to Boston, and so by all rights I should be in Miami right now helping her out. Problem is, I developed a fever on Saturday, and while the symptoms of my illness haven't been all that problematic for me, they do mean I'm Bad

Wow. I'm so sorry about your sweetie; that's miserable. (And what is up with the appendicitis, anyway? This makes two people in my extended circle of friends who've had appendix trouble within the last two weeks.)

I think there's talk of watching a World Cup game at our house tomorrow; ping yaoobruni if that interests you. (Ghana/US -- should be exciting. Will muck with people's work schedules, but hey.)
