the average of the average batsman

Batting average transcends statistics for me. It transcends numbers. It's a messed up, deeply ingrained THING. .271 means more to me than any other measurement in any other realm. So does .306, and .244, and .288. CHRIST, does .288.

Ahhhh okay. I'm so bad about keeping on top of Facebook shit because I'm an LJ person. Yes, I realize how out of the Interweb loop I am but I don't even care.

My text message was just me worrying about Louie and him getting old. How did you deal with your cats?

it was really sad. MJ went crazy, so it was like it wasn't even her, so that made it less sad. Friskie just got slower and slower and moved less and less. She had cancer, though, so she was sick. MJ was just senile or something. I don't know if there's really any good way to deal. It was just really sad, and then the vet gave us a goodbye card with friskies paw print on it. Abbey's still there, though, being weird, and even after Louie's gone you'll still have paddy, and you can keep redogging your stash through generations.
