Pick Up Truck for my horsie

So I will be getting a horse trailer sometime in the next year from a friend of mine. I think it's silly to own a trailer and not have a vehicle that you can pull it with. So within the next year to two years i need to get a pick up. I'm looking at the Dodge Ram 2500, the Ford F250 Super Duty, and the comparable GM truck. Obviously the one I'm

I know two people that tow, one a race car, the other horses. They both prefer diesels.... They last longer, they have better low end torque, double the fuel economy... So if you are looking for a long term investment and are able to afford it I recommend the diesel.
