This all sounds significant, and your fears aren't groundless. I wouldn't worry about the petty stuff, but obviously you have some difficult choices to make. I guess the best you can do is keep calm and not be rash about anything.

Well, most of my comments are platitudes. I can't really help it. When people have problems I have to be very careful and precise about what I say. "First, do no harm" and all that.
