Five months.

[Someone's slightly perturbed today...]

It's been five long... ridiculous months since I arrived here, I've realized. Yet somehow one who's only been here hardly a month has managed to leave. The promise of this elevator had best happen soon. I'd much like to return home.

[He pauses.]

I had a wager with that little brat. Now I owe

i hate this city sometimes, in my sad corner, alois whyyyy, where's my tea, oooh snap, someone's cranky, wanna go home, gotta kick some bitches

You do realize that even if they got that elevator running, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll return home. It could be an entirely different world up there.

Alois Trancy.

He knew me from his world.

Simply that he was. Completely spoiled and nearly unable to care for himself. [LIKE HE’S ONE TO TALK..]

[ Tiny smile. ]

It's been nearly a year since I've come to this city. Next month would make it a year, I believe.

This city doesn't quite care about how much time it's been between appearances and disappearances, it seems.

Honestly? And you haven't been driven mad? [Bitty!Earl has some bite today.]

[He sighs.] I'll admit--to take a vacation has been slightly relieving, however... Don't we have better things to be doing?

[ Can't turn a man mad if he's already mad to begin with but it's better the earl not know that, hm? ]

By better things, I'd guess you mean our business back home, hm? Perhaps if we find a way back, they'll find a way to send us back to the same time we left. It certainly seems possible.

[Yes, yes it is.]

Yes. I’ve much to attend to, and it simply can’t be done here. [He’s got some bitches to exact revenge upon man.]

Quit your bitching.

[Ciel. He's been here for nine. Months.]

[He doesn't wanna hear it.]

If you want it done so fast, come work on it yourself.

[Siiigh.] Correct. I do. Thus, the concept of this elevator completely baffles me. Why would someone be so stupid as to attempt to send people to the surface in sic a thing, when it's more likely to be crushed under the weight of the water. Or worse! Heaven forbid a seal breaks and water ends up flooding the city.

[HOW'S THAT FOR THINKING?]
