Baka-Updates: Most groups (or individuals) update this service with new releases, and many groups provide information for http downloads. (In fact, sign up for an account and use their awesome filtering tool (here's mine) to color code BL genre related releases - depending upon what color you use, it will look something like this).

Hm... the only thing I can really actually recommend is the Evil Empire ( http://www.the-evil-empire.net/ )

It's a forum and requires a 10 post-minimum... but it is soooo worth it. They have a quite extensive yaoi collection up for download... ^^

I know a lot more sites, but each of them only offer around 5-15 titles of yaoi.

Added! Thanks! Now, if they only had a way around that 10 post minimum (not too keen on minimum posts unless simple "thank you"s suffice) I'd be all over that site.

Well, once you have 10 posts, you'll automatically able to download. (Which means, just as long as you aren't spamming obviously, it's pretty easy to do.) Generally though, your post will probably get lost in the sea of spammers/leechers.

There are certain sections of the forum where you will not get a post count. (And that includes the BL discussion part of the forum.. >.< .. At least not yet..)

"Well crap." is a ljcut (click on it) that contains a copy of one of free_manga's rules: 8. REDISTRIBUTION of scans from groups who do not allow their projects to be posted outside of their sites is considered an offense. These posts will be deleted and the users will be put on the offense list. Instead of redistributing, please direct users to the scanlators web site.

So, just be careful about what you share there. Getting banned makes it more difficult to easily get new and hard-to-find downloads, and free_manga is a great source for those hard-to-find releases.

I like Yshare, but I voluntarily left (and I would imagine I've since been banned from rejoining) when they instituted these rules:

4. Any member who is found to have shared licensed manga outside Yshare without permission of scanner/uploader, will be banned immediately ( ... )

I do part of this lj so I have to accept they rules even if don't share it full
I think that are a lot of hypocrisy in all this
I have seen that the rules much times come ignore till some doesn't protest and then the last becomes the head expiatory for all
i have a lot of things to say but better it leave lose

You mean yaoievangelists? No, you're not a mentally-challenged uke (all ukes are by my definition cute and bedable). I think they have to approve your request first. I prefer communities with open membership, but understand the CYA-ness of doing it this way. Hopefully, the moderators will getcha approved soon. (Or, they'll get more moderators so the process is quicker. XD)
