Well, when you said the cofee things cost one euro i was thinking "crap that's a lot of money" and then you said the coffee maker cost 950... My jaw dropped... That's a lot of effing money.. A euro is worth a lot more than a good ole' american dollar.. To each their own I guess... p.s. come home

i was talking to adam johnson today, of whom i think we have spoken, and he was making me incredibly nervous with questions like, 'so, where are you living next year?' which brought back to me all that lottery-inspired terror, and which makes this very good news!

i hereby declare mod 58 synonomous with the words heaven, sanctuary, and escape. in all the best senses of those words. that's a declaration, you hear? it shall be so.

i believe my dear friend lisandra is coming to berlin at the very end of june, so whenever her return date is shall be mine. probably right smack in the middle of july. you'll be happily in alaska, i imagine?

i will try it soon and get back to you...but, see, i tried coffee from the old one and decided that not only was it nothing special, i actually didn't like it. not to say its bad, i'm sure its just my cheap american tastebuds, but still...

I just checked the exchange rate - if I found out someone payed $1200 so they could have one cup of coffee at a time, and thus not be able to share with anyone else - I would punch them in the face. But of course, you have to live with people. Ah, roomates!

it's gonna be rather difficult to not make some kind of (passive)aggressive attack on this apartment when i finally leave. maybe it's not worth the effort. maybe i WILL sabotage the coffee maker.

meanwhile an update: i don't know what happened, but he switched back to the old one-cup maker. the new one is now sitting in a box in the hallway.
