Take off the invisible white gloves. Open your eyes.

Hello friends!

Here's a quick update re: my life

New Job: started last month at a design studio which is attached to a big printing house. So far I get to:

1. Learn a lot of things I didn't know

2. Feel stupid

3. Make a ton of mistakes

4. Work on my issues with learning new things and feeling stupid because I wasn't born with the knowledge.

5. Do a bit of designing

6. All and all, not bad

New Boss:

1. Goes on and on and on

2. Will never lose an argument because he

3. Never listen

4. One of those people who have a solid opinion about every damn thing that is or ever will be in the universe, and therefor is

5. Completely incapable of accepting that there are things in the universe he may know nothing about

6. Said he saw a scene from Buffy once, there were three hot girls in a school yard and they were talking about shopping. Therefore, he knows all there is to know about this show, and offering him to watch it is like offering him diet coke and saying: Try it, it has depth and significance.

7. Very upsetting.

8. On the plus side, he isn't insane, impatient, or smelly. So it's not so bad

Trip to London:

1. Went to London for the last week of August

2. Did many wonderful and fun things, such as going to the Nottinghill festival (there will be photos at some point); Going to see the awesome musical Billy Elliot; Buying books; Sitting in parks; Meeting a friend at his local pub to talk about The Beatles, Watching Angel and Dr.Who. You might think one doesn't need to go to London to do some of those things, but you'd be wrong.

3. Even in London, was not able to escape the HORRID GREEN BLOUSE OF DOOOOOOM. Though, thankfully, it's not as popular there as it is here. Nonetheless, many other fashion horrors were spotted daily.

4. Trip to London was way too short, coming back home was frickin traumatic.

Television

1.Watched Bob & Rose on the weekend with my sister. It was as awesome as a funny British comedy about a gay man falling in love with a woman, written by Russell T. Davies and staring Alan Davies and Lesley Sharp can be. Which is very awesome indeed.

2. Started watching China Beach with my pet-teenager Lior, who is just what every teenager should be. She really loved it (yey!) and didn't mind that I had to say key sentences with the characters. Many people hate when I do that, but she didn't mind. And me, I've watched the pilot episode at least 100 time in my life time (Plus, I've transcribed it once...), so i pretty much know it all by heart. So I have to quote, no choice. Let me tell you something, folks. Showing your no.1 all time favorite show and oldest fandom to a new person and them liking it - it's the best thing after ice-cream (and we had ice-cream).

Stuff I should devote actual entries to, some day:
1. My relationship with my neighbors
2. HORRID GREEN BLOUSE OF DOOOOOOM

More updates soon, maybe.

Much love to you all, and
Shana Tova!
