Oh, Zoe... *sniffs* This was really well done, a great portrait of Zoe's growing fascination with Wash and her lasting trauma from the war.

I love this. I imagine Wash would sort of grow on a person like that. ^_^

We know he grew on Zoe, and that's one tough job ;)
Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed!

I love your broken Zoe there.

Thank you!
Though I think Zoe's less broken already here. On the mend, at least ;)

ZoexWash = <33

I love how you incorporated Zoe's trauma in a way that seemed intense and dramatic, while resisting turning her into a sobbing wreck that would be so unlike her.

Also...

"You realize, pilot, if I came up this hill with a mind to kill you, you'd be humped right now." Seeing this information register, she feels a surprising amount of gloating pleasure, and goes for the kill. "Dead on the ground, with your dick in your hands."

That was classic.

Thanks for the lovely feedback.

I have a soft spot for the PTSD-ed characters, and this is something I felt wasn't discussed on the show nearly enough (or, at all, actually), but that's what fanfiction's for, right? :)

Awwww! Sweet pre Zoe/Wash.

You did a great job of showing the effects of trauma without making her weak.

Thanks for your lovely words, were_lemur :)

I love Pre-show Zoe/Wash myself, I'd read anything that explores the start of that relationship. and Zoe's post-traumatic condition fascinates me. I'm very glad it worked in this story, and that she didn't come off as weak.
