My usual MO is to gather gifts throughout the year for birthdays and Christmas/Hanukkah.  That way I'm not rushing around at the last minute and I always have something to give to my loved ones.  Usually, the system works out really well for me.  Until today.  I was going through one of my boxes and I came across a number of really nice gift items

I want to, but...I dunno, contact hasn't worked out so well in the past. I'll have to think about it some more. Thanks for the input though. :o)

I'm not necessarily saying it's what I would do, but why is donating them a sad option? I mean, I guess it's kind of sad, but depending on what the gifts are, it could be nice.

Hmmm... I'm trying to figure out what I would do. Honestly? I think if I chose to stop speaking to the person I'd probably throw them out. But if the person chose to stop speaking to me, and I was sad about it, I'd send them off to said person.

Donating would only be sad because they were purchased with a heartfelt joy for the recipient and donating would be like finally giving up. I have no doubt that someone else would be interested.

I'd like to send them off, but not sure how it would be received. My previous attempt at contact wasn't exactly met with positive feedback. Course, unless directly told otherwise I could just pretend it was, I'd not know the difference.

I'll have to give it some more thought. Thanks!
