Who remembers
this post about Sadie, the cat living in an abandoned rowhouse in Baltimore who needs a home? She lives next door to my friends Jill and Yo, who have been feeding her & looking for a home for her. Jill and Yo report Sadie is very sweet tempered and friendly, and they are are in love with her, but they are totally strapped and cannot take in Sadie.
They have been feeding Sadie and looking for a home for her. But now, four little monkey wrenches have been thrown into the works:
They are less than a week old. They will need homes. This is breaking my heart. I cannot take in a kitten, yet I am sorely tempted. Maybe I'll have to talk with
chickenhat. Because here, my friends, is where Sadie gave birth to and where she is caring for her beautiful children:
That blanket only entered the picture after Jill & Yo suspected what was going on and broke into the house to find Sadie and her litter.
I have at least two folks on my friends list who have recently lost dear feline friends--one of them only today. To those people let me say, I'm sorry, please don't think I'm targeting you.
I'll be helping Jill and Yo with this, buying cat food, and hopefully finding an inexpensive spay/neuter program and helping to pay for the procedures. If anyone else is interested in helping in this way, that would be wonderful.
EDIT:
chickenhat has set up a PayPal link to make it easy for you to help with Sadie & her kits.
Go here. But if you can give a furry little life a good home, that would be marvelous, and I can guarantee the rewards will be well worth it.
Please spread the word. I'm making this an unlocked post. Point people to it.
Thanks.
