Who remembers this post about Sadie, the cat living in an abandoned rowhouse in Baltimore who needs a home? She lives next door to my friends Jill and Yo, who have been feeding her & looking for a home for her. Damn. I have the same problem as you. Adding a kitten to the household would not serve Mia well.

Please let me know where I can donate $$$ for food and treatment.

Kitties!!!! Unfortunately, both koralleen and shadowcaptain would likely have simultaneous coronaries if I were to take them in, but I happen to know that the Howard County Animal Rescue League does spaying/neutering for around $40.

Maybe call the place where the pooch ride happens and see if they've got room?

Will look into HCAR, thanks... don't know if they'll do Baltimore.

Yes, I'm planning on calling Briggs. They are always strapped for space, but maybe they can give me alternative ideas.

Oh dear. I should know better than to click on these links. I'm in Boston so it would be a drive, however...if in a month or so there is some desperation for a home (especially for that little fellow with the gray "hat" and gray tail) let me know. It's not an impossible drive, I've needed an excuse to visit my friend Liz in Arlington anyway, and hey, maybe I could talk her into a cat. (I could get away with three for a while on the "I'm holding him for my brother" line. Hopefully he'll be back on the East Coast soon and he is looking for a feline companion.)

Where do you think one of my two came from? :) Mom and Dad had that one cat visiting the barn who was too wild to catch, and lo and behold...four kittens. (They still have one, I have another, one was given away and one wandered off.)

PS--definitely keep me in mind. My brother would very much be interested if one needs a home when the time comes, and I'd be happy to help the friend of a friend.
