What is your favorite part of the winter holiday of your choice?

Mine is scoring the perfect gift for someone, having it be a total surprise, and seeing their reaction when they unwrap it.

making stuff for people, whether cookies or hand-knits or the various other crafty stuff I do... I just love making things by hand for the people I love.

The part when all the cards and presents are sent, all the family obligations have been met, and I can lock myself away in the house knowing that I don't have to do that again for a whole year.
