There's this organization called St. Baldrick's. And they challenge people to fundraise for pediatric cancer, promising that if they reach a very high goal, they will shave their heads bald. It's another stunt thing, to put the fun in fundraising, and evidently it works

a friend of mine here in vegas shaved her head in unity with a little girl she knows who has been dealing with cancer from a very young age. no money involved, just love.

Fado Irish Pub in DC, where we're going tomorrow after work and before seeing the O'Danny Girls at Craicdown!, participated this weekend in a St. Baldrick's charity event, which was kind of a kickoff for their St. Patrick's weekend events.
