Ohh, I love this story. This chapter covers a scene I always wanted to see - Maggie's reaction to Sophie. You'd think she would have been more peeved on the show! :) Great job!
I'm so glad that you still like it! I've adored writing it, so far, even though I'm slow as molasses at it.
I have always wondered about Maggie's casual acceptance of Nate's relationship with Sophie, her approval even. I guess I'm just not the emotionally developed woman that Maggie is, because I would never been that okay with my ex-husband hooking up with an International Art Thief. LOL Especially when you take in to account that they became friends while Nate and Maggie were still married. Warning bells would have made my eardrums explode.
Yes, there's more to come. I need to get Sophie rescued and they need to snag Sterling, so, yeah....at least a couple more chapters. I'm hoping to work in a meeting between Sophie and Maggie, too, just for kicks.
I'm also working on another story right now that's Nate/Sophie. I'm about ten pages in, but I think it'll be a one-shot, if I can just make them stop falling in to an angst spiral.
The really sad part is that I've lost count about which part I'm on....
I just checked and it's part five. One of these days I'll get the whole thing organized and set up correctly. I wasn't anticipating it going on this long. Oh well.
I wrote another page, or so, on the Nate/Sophie fic and it's going well. They are pulling their way towards something more flirty. I really, really want to make them work it out. It's a weird feeling when you can't make the two characters get together and you're writing the freaking piece. LOL
Aw, thank you. I'm really starting to like writing for the whole team. They're so much fun.
The Nate/Maggie scene(s) were hard, but I'm glad that the work was worth it. I have such strong feelings about getting their dynamic right.
Of course Maggie has to know that Sophie is Nate's endgame! In this universe, they're way more together than they were in canon. Or, at least, they will be by the time I'm done with them. LOL
Aw, Maggie, I get that you're angry (and her “I don't doubt that you were physically faithful, but there are other ways of carrying on an affair.” is always how I interpreted Nate's guilt in The Miracle Job) and all, and you have every right, but good on ya for getting the hell out of the way for now. We have to rescue Sophie!
Ummm, yeah, so that ridiculous response means this chapter was just amazing and I cannot wait for the next. And yay on Parker and her leading the charge for their grifter.
LOVE THIS. I, along with aparently everyone else who commented, wondered at the nil reaction from Maggie in the show. I always put it down to: she didn't know the true scope of the relationship - the spanning of years and all that.
However, I like this take on it. I love that Sophie got in her kicks and that Parker said "She's a horrible housekeeper." I started giggling until I remembered that Sophie was missing.

Thanks, again. You're tops! :)

That's be cool to read.
I like angst if it has a happy ending. :) Come on, just make them fall into each other's arms. :P

Maggie is just a character that fascinates me. I mean, not more than Sophie (I adore her), but she comes a close second. Ha.
