Ann posted a cat meme (although it could easily be used for other pets), so what better way to dust off the ol' LJ?
Name: Hugo
Nickname(s): Huey, Hugh-ball, Sir Hugo, Big Boy, Mini-Panther, Bat-Monkey, Mr. Cat, Hugo-dini, Squeaker, and more
Birthday: March '06 - ish
Origins: Found as an abandoned runt in a gutter by my kid sister up at school.
Breed/coloring: All black shorthair.
Distinguishing features: Yellow-green eyes (when he's in the dark or against something black they're all you can see of him), a manly cat-chin, sleek & shiny black fur.
Favorite food: Any and all wet food.
Favorite sleeping position and spot: Curled up inside his fort, on the couch in the living room, in the disc chair with Samus, or on my back.
Enemies: Any dog besides Toby.
Bad habit: Sharpening his claws on doorways. Finding new and clever ways to escape the house.
Most anthropomorphic trait: Very handy with his paws. He's figured out how to operate most door handles, faucet handles, etc. He also tends to tap people to get their attention - lightly at first, but then he'll start smacking you if you don't give him the response he wants.
Other strangeness: Squeaks instead of meowing. Only drinks water if it comes fresh from the faucet. Compulsively cleans Sammy whenever he can pin her down. Does somersaults onto your feet if he's happy to see you and/or wants something from you. Cannot resist crawling into a box or bag if you put one out where he can see it.

Birthday: September '08 - ish
Origins: Adopted from a local shelter after being abandoned in the rain at a train station in NYC.
Breed/coloring: Shorthair Orange Tabby
Distinguishing features: White chin, tummy, and toes. Orange rings all up to the tip of her tail. Very long legs and toes.
Favorite food: Wet food, toothpaste, wine corks, bugs, etc.
Favorite sleeping position and spot: On the chair in the living room, in the disc chair with Hugo, or under the Rock Band drums next to the TV.
Enemies: None really. She's too goofy to detest anything.
Bad habit: Oh lord, where to start. Knocking the lamps off the bedside table in the middle of the night. Knocking pretty much any movable object off of any flat surface. Attacking Sean's feet in the middle of the night. Chewing on the router antenna. Chewing on toothbrushes. Carrying around a wine cork or toy in her mouth and then dropping it into your glass/onto your food. Stealing jewelry and hiding it. Walking/lying down on the keyboard. Sharpening her claws on furniture. I could go on.
Most anthropomorphic trait: Likes to sit on the bathroom counter and groom her face while Sean washes his. Will also carry on conversations in meows.
Other strangeness: Loves to play fetch. Follows Sean around wherever he goes when he's home, and cries by the door if he shuts her out of a room. Fascinated by running water, and will try to catch it with her paw. Likes to lick people's noses. Loves to cuddle but hates to be picked up and held, and if so will squirm insanely until she's loose. Lands on her feet only about 50% of the time. Runs/skids into walls. Takes flying leaps onto/off of anything (frequently crashes). Watches TV, and will try to bat at moving things on the screen (she's particularly fond of zombie video games). Again, I could go on. She's a wacky cat.
