Dude!!! And Japan has been playing so well, until Australia robbed them!!! Boo!! *lol*

Man, football is evil. This is like the Man U-Bayern Munich match in 1999; a football robbery within 10 minutes!!! Australia is offically the team to hate now *lol*

*laughs and laughs* Dayum! WHAT A LAST TEN MINUTES!!! Amazing! I'm not sure I can stop using exclamation points!!!!!! The Aussies stole that right out from under Japan! Football is the MOST EVIL of games! *barracuda grin*

Ah, yes--I remember Man U's thievery well. There was much celebrating here that day too, as they're my second fav London team.

And I was in Germany when I watched that match on TV. Everyone was celebrating until the final minutes. Man, who knew beer-guzzling men could cry *evil laughter*

I pegged Australia to win this match, but not this way. Man, I feel for Japan. Woe, Japan :o)

*laughs* Poor, beer-guzzling men! I think my husband's going to cry if the U.S. doesn't win against the Czech Republic!

Yeah, it's awful to loose that way. I would've been okay with a Japan win, but I really wanted the Aussies to come through after Bruce Arena's unfortunate comment that he didn't think Australia would do very well. He did apologize, but still.

I kinda wish I was into this. A lot of my friends are Colombian and Brazilian and various other types of South American. They are practically wetting themselves in excitement for this thing, they take it so seriously :-\ My cousin is from London and she's crazy about it too.

HELLOOO! The NBA FINALS ARE MAKING HISTORY RIGHT NOW, PEOPLE!! Heheh :-P

I guess where you are born into matters most of all. I mean, I wouldn't be this football-mad if my father didn't wake me up to watch 1982 World Cup final between West Germany and Italy. I was four :o)

Oh. And sitting around ball-crazy boys in school helped too ;o)

I've gotten into this because of my husband's love of the game. He took me to the 94 World Cup here in the states. We watched Brasil play the Netherlands in the quarter finals and I was hooked! Just start watching, if you're so inclined, and you might get hooked too! :)

*grins*

I watched the England/Paraguay match. Not very exciting when the goal happened 4 minutes into the game. And I only tuned in during the second half as it was like 6am on Saturday morning.

The England/Paraguay match was a big yawn!!! England was about as lackluster as they could be.

I *do* hope you're getting ready to watch the U.S. play the Czech Republic!!! *smiles*

It was a big yawn. England didn't do much more than kick the ball around. And Paraguay tried, but their attempts were lame.

I have to go to work in a bit, so won't be able to watch the match. :(

You have fun, though.

I like Japan all right, but I was pulling for Australia. I'm not sure Japan has too much hope, given that they have to go up agaist Brasil and Croatia to move forward.

I'm sorry you can't watch it, but I'm not sure I want to watch it right now either. *bites nails*

I like both Australia and Japan, but I was kind of hoping that Japan might advance (despite what awaits).

I grew up watching the Bundesliga, though, so I am more than a little in favor of the "home" team. Bayern München was my team way back when...

And what in the feck happened to the USA? Fifth in the world? Really? I mean, REALLY? I dunno, gentlemen. I think the US might have had only had one shot on goal? The Czechs had some beautiful goals, though.

Man, I need to get a feed or something. Even audio. I could do with audio. I need more TiVO units!!!

It was an amazing last half, and I wouldn't mind watching it again myself!
