It was taking the approach not of how do we handle the Mexicans that are already here, or how to prevent future illegals, but the bigger picture of what the past 5 years of immigration between the US and Mexico actually means for the two countries. To answer your initial questions dan.
I thik we may loose more money taking on their currency than bringing mexico to US standards.
We have huge problems with our schooling too, and i've met educated mexicans.
lastly i don't think the southern neighbors would have quite similar problems. Not just for size matters, but this isn't exactly the most typical behavior in the world except when there is actual combat and wars in regions.
Here is my only question, why don't other strong countries in the world have problems with immigration?

But honestly enlighten me M. What do you know that i don't, and beyond the fact that two of my comments were blatently overboard,(as you well know i always make at least one, its a part of how i argue). how is my spouting that much crap? I read up on the topic and still don't disagree with the basic premise of my initial opinion.
