For the last several months I've found myself toying with a few general themes about life, who I want to be, and the sorts of people that I want in my life. I'm not really sure why these particular themes are haunting me but they are, and they seem to be important

This. All of this. I never make as much stuff as I think I want to, but I definitely start feeling it when I feel I haven't made anything in a while. That was one of the big reasons I've taken a few months off of playing my bass - I wasn't Making anything. I still haven't made anything brilliant (nor did I expect to), but I've made Stuff (also read as "Stuff I Like", and not always tangible Stuff), and that makes me happy. And collaborating (intentionally or accidentally or coincidentally) is also Happy.

Also, I'm looking forward to when this new instrument and musical genre bring back the dance craze The Electric Slide.
