A poem! I enjoyed the juxtaposition between the end of the world and a very domestic-feeling relationship. That works well and then you have the surprise stanza regarding the litter at the beach...signalling a true end...and that works AMAZINGLY well.

Nice. I didn't read it as a poem, which might say something about the way I read you, the way you usually write, and how this fits into that intersection.

Not sure why this is tagged "non-fiction" tho.

Yeah, most of my poems are more spoken-word-y anyway :) I tagged it nonfiction because while it's speculative, I'm pretty sure this is what I'd actually do!
