sexuality: gay, but not open about it. still so far in the closet he's in Narnia, etc.
why? I know a lot of you out there may wonder, 'How could Yosuke be gay? He expresses his distaste in male/male things throughout almost the entire game.' well, good sir or madame, that's why I'm here! we all know that Yosuke is a city-gone-country boy (must to his initial distaste) and in Inaba, things get around, and fast. he's never really considered the thought of liking another guy until Souji/MC comes around, and all of the sudden the girl he had his most serious crush on is dead and he's only got Souji to rely on. at least until Chie and Yukiko and everyone else really come into the picture, but there's no one he trusts more than Souji. he looks up to Souji, is jealous of what he's able to do; he wants to be Souji's equal. but when he comes to terms that he actually might not consider Souji as just a personal idol or a friend, and that these aren't normal feelings to have toward your best friend -- who is, in fact, a guy (no matter how he looked in drag) -- he puts up the barrier.
there are even a few in-game examples, such as how comfortable Yosuke is with being physically close to the MC:

- if picking a certain choice during Yosuke's SL, you later are given the option to hug him while upset. while Yosuke almost immediately states that, "that's for girls" he makes no move to get away from Souji, but instead let's his guard down even further.
