What's up at BR?

So there is rumor floating around that one of the board members, perhaps even the chairman, has resigned. The story, as it was told to me, had something to do with being arrested for statutory rape of a 14 y/o girl. Can anyone confirm if this story is true or just my old friends trying to make my day?

I know nothing about any legal aspects, but I was told someone resigned due to longstanding medical issues (their heart).

Whether there is more to it, I don't know.

Kirk happens to be the board member that resigned. He had a major heart attack not that long ago, and his health has been of great importance to him.

Other than that, I would not want to speculate or spread rumors.

I remember Kirk's heart attack. It happened while BR was still at the Double Tree Hotel ... what a year or so ago. I was surprised he came straight back to his job on the board, and then ran for re-election and then took over as chairman and even picked up the security job for the big event as recently as a month ago. I am sure that wasn't what Dr. recommend for his rehabilitiation.

He must have had a serious relaps to just quit everything cold turkey and not simply scale back his involvement. I know he worked hard on the event including contract negotiations. It's a shame he felt he had to completely walk away just a few weeks before it finally happened.

I wouldn't wish heart problems on anyone. I do hope that those troubles take a positive turn.
