having a hard time

So I took this math class this summer ... Differential Equations. I was never really great at math, I am better at big picture stuff and spacial relations, but I have to power through this. Well it turns out that sometimes you just can't make it happen by reading and reading the book over and over. I have never worked so hard for a shitty grade

I have a theory...and that is that math and differential equations are two completely different beasts. Keep at it...even if you've struggled with math in the past, because differential equations are in a different language...you'll be fine!

Hey, don't get down too hard. A LOT of people blank on math. I had one friend who would throw up before and after any algebra quiz. She threw up DURRING one exam. I think you are in good shape if all you did was bail.

So, here's what you do: Go to the Prof's office hours. Ask to go over what you blanked on. Most profs are required to have office hours and students never take advantage of them. It strokes their ego that you bother to show and take an interest.

Seriously. No joke. You can get far showing you are willing to put in the "extra" work.
