Lauren woke up again before my alarm went off this morning. This is the second time in about three weeks. How can that girl be peppy that early in the morning? Perhaps it has something to do with going to bed around 8:30

Oh my goodness! That's hilarious, about trying to answer her questions without generating too many more questions. :) Sounds like you handled the potentially awkward conversations with no problem.

I remember hearing about a mom telling her 3-year-old daughter that a pad was like a little diaper for Mommies. I thought that was kind of silly, but also kind of a good idea! Like you said...trying to come up with terms she'll understand can be tricky.
