Look at you! "Entrance scholarships"? That's so awesome! You should definitely listen to that guy and try that out. You are seriously so smart.
I have Fawlty Towers on dvd, too. I love that show SO MUCH! I want to watch it now just thinking about it. And, I thought the title of the new Yo La Tengo album was pretty awesome, too. However, I have not heard the actual album.
Your mention of Janene Garafalo makes me think: weren't we going to see her sometime? But it didn't work out for some reason? Am I imagining that?
Well, you wrote so much that there was a lot to comment on.
By the way, I ran into Kristina at school last week. It was weird because I think this was the first time I've seen her there. Anyway, I don't think I've seen her since your "going away" thing at your house. It was nice to chat for a bit.
you saw David Cross????? mad jelous. i've recently been initiated into Arrested Development, and it's the funniest show i've ever seen (next to the Simpsons of course). do you know if the fest is touring east? or i guess i could figure that out in two seconds with a google search.
also, are you planning on SFU for a year of your under-grad, or after??? that sounds fu#@ing awesome. (i'm of course assuming that stands for San Fran U)
i hate to say it but SFU doesn't sound for San Fran U but Simon Fraser University which is high atop burnaby mountain. i'd be there for two years miminum just getting my b.a. but i still have about 5 or so more courses to do at langara before i transfer. while it won't be as awesome as San Fran it should still be cool.
i don't know if david cross is touring back east but if you see any stand-up festivals coming through definitely check it out. the one i saw was put on by canwest which makes me think that it's run by the same people who run global so it might be touring but i have no idea.
have you heard any of his stand up? shut up you stupid fucking baby is my favourite.
arrested development is one of the best shows EVER. tobias is such an awesome character though, so are gob, george michael, buster, fuck they're all fantastic. what season are you on?
i actually just bought Season 3 today....we have the first two seasons at my house which i've pretty much exhausted so i grabbed what is (tragically) the final season.
i had given up on TV years ago but i kept having more and more people telling me about AD, so i skeptically gave it a chance a few months ago. i think i watched 6 episodes in a row! rediculously amazingly good show on so many levels....i figured u'd be into it.
i'll probably drag out watching all the third season as slowly as possible, knowing that when its over, thats the end......sigh.....
have you ever played the drinking game? some rules include take a drink every time:
a) george michael eludes to being in love with maeby b)tobias eludes to his (not so)latent homosexuality c) the charlie brown theme plays d)every time someone does a chicken impression
i think you see how this goes.
drag the third season out? you know you won't be able to resist! and as a double-burn it's shorter than the rest of the seasons. on one hand i'm glad they stopped before it got shitty but on the other i just wish it could have kept going.
have you gotten hooked on chappelle yet? you should check out his stand-up. killing them softly is hilarious.
