Saturn return can go on for a few years but from what I see in most people's life history who have been through it, it tends to focus around one massive problematic event and the life-altering consequences drag on for a few years so you may be through the worst.

It's the kind of thing that you look back on much later and say "That time was one of the hardest in my life but without it I wouldn't be who I am now."

It's an important part of growing up.

I don't know when my saturn return was 'scheduled' exactly (it never seemes to be right on schedule) but it started around age 28 and I had to suffer the impact of the negative consequences until about age 31. After that I got to reap the positive consequences for many more years.
