The wager, aside from the two million on the line, was a date, which normally Remy LeBeau didn't need to go to such lengths to attain, but the younger man with piercing blue eyes and raven-colored hair had remained stubborn and elusive, which left the famous Cajun poker player (and current World Champion) with no other choice.
Glancing down at his cards, Remy smirked knowing that with his four of a kind, that date with Tim was practically his. Then, to his and the audiences' utter surprise, first time player Tim Drake placed a straight flush on the table winning the money and the title, leaving LeBeau's quick mind plotting how to get back everything he just lost.
"Of course it was going to happen," Tony chuckled, surprised that anyone would think otherwise, "They're both from Gotham, use animal monikers in their code names, and come on, Cap, tell me you didn't see the looks they gave each other when Fury introduced them?!"
Steve shrugged, that sweetly naive look coloring his blushing expression, as he cleared his throat and asked, "But, um, on the conference table?"
Natasha, who was trying to fight back a smile because only after a few weeks the man still wasn't used to the 21st century, replied, "Yes, on the conference table, but Stark was wrong about one thing; they didn't ask anyone," she looked pointedly at Tony, "to join in."
I am looking forward to The Avengers! Midnight showing, baby! Lol! Can't wait to see more Black Widow! And I want to see the dynamic between the team. Because little cameos in each other's movies are very cool, but actual interaction? *flails* Plus if it does well, maybe DC can get their act together and put together a similarly awesome JL! Besides, Avengers will help keep me distracted until July! ;)
I'll definitely watch Avengers. They're my favorite team (> JLA :))
Plus heard that last TDKR trailer is going to be shown then.
Have two tickets for midnight IMAX TDKR burning in my wallet since I watched the prologue with MI2. Exciting! Hoping for lots of batcat. I may have to stop myself from booing each time Tate comes on screen. When I saw the pix of the flattened HEMTT, was thinking we may get a Miranda Tate pancake. LOL
