Last Monday I made Hot and Sour Chicken Noodle soup - it was tasty, but not very hot. I used one chilli and it hardly had a kick - you might have guessed there was a chilli in the room when I cooked it but it certainly had no bite

Thought I would drop you a line (but in comments because I am not sure whether your LJ addy is good) as we'll be passing close by you on Sunday the 14th of June and again on the 25th - we're getting the ferry from Newcastle (North Shields really). Are you about after lunch on the 14th or before lunch on the 25th by any chance? And if so do you fancy meeting up briefly?

OK, will have to see if N is taking L for the Saturday night (its my weekend, but I have offered him the Fri-Sat nights and the weekend we get back to make up for missed days while we are away) which will affect what time we're likely to get through your way. Would be lovely to see you guys again too!
