anyone else from kentucky make it to the polls? honestly, did anyone know who to vote for? i left approximately 95% of the ballots empty, and i follow politics. school board? circuit court judge? family court judge? court of appeals? court jester? best smile ( Read more... )

You may follow politics, but probably only at the national and state level. All the other ones are district/county/township level and, unless you own property or you have kids, you don't need to worry about just yet.

And yes you're allowed to take notes into the voting booth as far as I know. I brought some big envelopes of mail that I was sending out later that day with me and they didn't seem to mind.

Also Massachusetts sucks because they voted (apparently by a landslide) against allowing groceries to apply for licenses to sell wine in the towns they are located in. No wine in grocery stores for Massachusetts! People are stupid.

offering a chance to win $1M as a way to get good voter turn out is an awful idea. I mean, we didn't do that before and look at the messes we've gotten ourselves in. I would hate to see that the 18 yr olds had 95% voter turn out, but unfortunately they wrote in the captain of the football team for office. Though in some states, I don't know if that would be a bad decision
