Got up early enough, but I also went and picked blackberries before it got too hot. I got an entire bucket full in about :20 of actual picking time. It’s going to be too hot to “can” today and I’m not in the mental head space for it either. So the blackberries from today’s harvest are being flash frozen until I am able to preserve them. I set

Love the video - I remember that song from a long time ago - I haven't heard it in a long time, and I hadn't thought of it at all before hearing it just now. It's a beautiful song.

Doing get-togethers can be hard - one has so little time to enjoy people's company if one is a host or hostess. I like the catering idea. Seems more convenient, and less work for you, more time to enjoy the company.

It's good that you have the strength to see that Bean needs to be living elsewhere. I grew up with an abusive older sibling who was addicted to drugs (whom I believe is a sociopath), and I really wish my parents had made him move out of the house once he was an adult, because having to deal with him scarred me for life. Not that that's the kind of person that Bean is, I don't know him, but just the way you say he's hard to live with, if it's hard for you, as an adult, it must be harder for the younger children. It sounds like a very stressful living situation.

Now the trick is to actually find some kind of program or situation that is feasible and doable. I know if I had $7.5k a month to throw at the issue, I'd have it solved right now. Alas, I'm an artist and our society doesn't value that. Mostly I don't get paid more than minimum wage for what I do and I feel like it's very much a professional skill. So, were stuck suffering unless there's some magic sort of set-up that I just don't know about.

Hoping, especially the psychologist, has some good news for me on the 20th.

But, yes, it's time to make some huge changes.
