Vinegar is the miracle cleaning product! I wash my clothes in it and use it to clean my electric kettles.

Vinegar and baking soda works wonders on breaking up grease. I use the combo to both clean my drain and clean grease spots on my stove from cooking. Like you said, has to sit for a bit, but once it has, you can practically wipe the grease off without any hassle.

Hair clogs are a different issue though...
