I know this was a long time ago, but I was just wondering: did you see any other marsupials? I am so intrigued by the fact that Australia has so many. Biology classes always make it sound like an alternate universe where everything is the same, but with a pouch. Like, did you see the Australian equivalent of possums (with pouches?) (eww!)?

I did not see any australian possums...hey, why you gotta dis on the possums? i happen to like possums. australian ones are much cuter, too. what i want to know is why american possums are like the only marsupial outside of australia.

i got to see a platypus! he's not a marsupial huh, though? and there are kangaroos everywhere, like deer.

i have some pics up on my website now. unfortunatey, most of the animal pics are in captivity, because for excursion to the real wildlife sanctuary i was sick and crabby and too lethargic to bring my camera.

I didn't realize that American possums were marsupials. I think I remember debating that with someone once. I just don't like the way they creep around backyards and I think that i caught some of Rachel's intense fear (of possums). How was the rest of your trip home?
