Mutant chickadee

There's a mutant chickadee hanging around. It's clearly a black-capped chickadee but he/she has broad white patches on his back and wings where they shouldn't be.

I wonder if it's got patches of albino in it. That reminded me of a big buck i saw a few years back who's front half was normal, but in the middle it started getting patchy and the back half was totally white.

That's what it looks like. Now that I've been watching I see there is another one with some 'stray' white. It's very subtle on the 2nd one.

An albino chickadee? Sounds like a popular kids' book waiting to happen...

We see chickadees here from time to time, though haven't noticed any albinos.
