There's a bad stretch of road near our gym and many SUVs drive like their car is a fragile, crystal vehicle. Some go so far as to drive on the wrong side of the road, which is a little smoother.
Did you get some sort of rash? Could be bromine or chlorine in too high amounts, or the water was overdue for a complete change and had a lot of particulates.
I ran into this in Phoenix; I'm usually bulletproof but the hot tub at our condo complex nearly dissolved me. Turns out they hadn't changed the water for over a year.
Were there mynocks in the hot tub? It may not have been a real hot tub at all, but an asteroid worm pretending to be a hot tub. It was probably starting to digest you, so good thing you got out.
I've been getting "red spots" on my feet and legs for a while but I didn't know if I should call it a rash because it seemed so minor. This time, after going from the hot tub to shower it was absolutely a full-body rash. The hot tub and pool were both salt water and I didn't think it was possible to have a reaction to salt.
The last day I did an experiment. I put one foot into the hot tub and the other one just into the cooler pool. I got red spots on the hot foot but not on the cold one. I also briefly dipped the cold foot into the hot tub but didn't leave it there long enough to warm up. Same result - I only get the spots after a temperature change.
I've also noticed the spots on my feet/legs when I use the dry sauna, when I've been exercising and sometimes just when my feet get hot in my shoes. I just didn't think it was a rash until I saw it everywhere.
So if you put your foot in a bathtub with hot water, are the red spots as bad as what the hot tub dished out? Now is your chance to outsleuth the dermitologist.
