im so glad you're enjoying them.

since we are wishing, i wish i could record the things i think of when i'm drifting off to sleep, so that the next day i wouldn't have to try to chase down the thread of conversation - i could just replay it and type it down. things would go much faster that way.

So glad Jake changed his mind and went to Heath's. Curious what happened in the bar??? Hope he tells us or rather Heath. I was disappointed when it went south for the guys and Heath left w/o Jake, but then again I was also surprised Heath stayed when Jake disappeared with Rolex guy. Don't think I could have stuck around.

Heath is dealing with two different realities: the reality of Jake's job, which is why he stayed - he knows this is what Jake does for a living and he's not fighting it too hard yet. But the other reality is that he wants Jake for way more than sex and he can't figure out what to do with that. He waited, trying to be patient and hoping he could get some resolution to all the angst churning up inside of him, but he eventually gave up when jake didn't show up when his customer did. if you notice, Heath tried to leave but the bartender got real slow with some other customers, giving Jake time to show up. He knows that Heath is there for Jake and he realizes that Heath could be good for Jake.

thanks for the comment. glad you're enjoying the story. :)

I love how you phrase things, like this for example:

... he hasn’t had the opportunity to do anything more than place his order and then hold on for the ride...

I also love how you're able to write so convincingly two people who are inexplicably drawn to each other. You don't just throw them together and that's the end of it - I love all the drama and angst that goes along with it. :)
