Wow! Thanks for posting. I was waiting for this point in the story, almost at the turning-point in their lives, where they can't go any further without deciding whether to give in and give a life together a go, or each go his own way and regret it forever! I am biting my nails. LOL!
But Heath doesn’t care about Jake’s past. Jake got that part totally wrong. All he cares about is the future, and Jake’s made it excessively plain that he doesn’t want to take this beyond where they are right now. Based on what he said this morning, Heath can’t even blame him. Jake has to take care of himself too, after all. Unfortunately, Heath knows that what they have right now is never going to be enough for him and since Jake won’t give him more, they’re left at an impasse with only one sure fix: to give up and walk away.
I was waiting for that as well but I expected it at some point later to be honest. I totally understand how Heath feels, there are some turning points in life where it's like an internal switch turns, triggered by something that might seem unimportant with a first glance. I have felt like that and it's always a surprise when it happens but it's always a powerful feeling that solidifies our resolves. It's like being blindfolded and then somebody/something yanks the blindfold away and we are faced with a reality that was always there but we couldn't see it but maybe we have sensed its presence before. Can't wait to see what happens next and how it happens.....
PS1Heath needs to bottom and love it , like yesterday! Only with Jake though! ;)
This was sad, no one of lthem is happy and they are walking over eggs when they are close. I hope they can reach to happiness but it will take a long time. Thank you so much for sharing. Martha
