Agreed with pretty much everything. I never liked Jo much either, but she really shined this past ep. And Ellen, oh Ellen! I started bawling no lie. If they had to kill of the female characters at least they did it well. With Jo and Ellen being as kickass and real as they were. It was really beautiful.

I think the reason Jimmys fine is because Cas IS much weaker than the other angels we've seen so far. Raphael was an archangel I believe, and Lucifer is on a simular level of power. Plus Jimmys body was reconstructed after Raphael destory Cas the first time. He may not even be alive anymore. I hope Kripke&Krew adress that. I like Jimmy.

He may not even be alive anymore oh right! I didn't even think about that. Hmmm. I hope they address it too. Especially since Cas fucked up Jimmy's life so spectacularly last season.

I knew Cas was weaker, but I figured there had to be at least some wear and tear. Cas isn't exactly the most conscientious when it comes to taking care of human host bodies.

Oh, and Cas not being able to burn Meg out - interesting. From the way he reacted, I wonder if this was a more recent development - Cas's moving another step closer to the future!Cas we saw in 5.04?
maybe it was the effect of the circle of oil that was keeping him prisoner?

I find it interesting how Lucifer's vessel is already breaking down and how Raphael's vessel turned into a vegetable after a short possession, yet Jimmy seemed perfectly fine in 4.20 after a year with Cas in his body. Bad continuity, or a sign that Cas is significantly weaker than his angelic brothers? *shrugs*

both Raphael and Lucifer r and were archangels! of course Cas is weaker! he wasn't even leader of a garrison or anything, just a footsoldier!

Oh, that's a good point. I can't remember what Cas said about the circle in 5.03, but if it cuts them off from the Host, then that's probably why he couldn't exorcise Meg. But then Raphael wasn't completely powerless, he was able to manipulate the weather while trapped in the circle.

of course Cas is weaker

Yeah, but Cas has to be quite significantly weaker to be able to possess Jimmy for so long - a better part of a year - and not have any evidence of it. I don't know. I'm sure I've just reading too much into this.
