SHRIEKING LIKE AN ABSOLUTE UTTER BANSHEE I WAS LITERALLY AT THE EDGE OF MY SEAT THE WHOLE TIME WONDERING WHEN THE WAR WILL END WHEN SOMETHING TERRIBLE WILL HAPPEN AND I JUST WANT TO CRY NOW IT HAS A HAPPY ENDIIIINNNNNGGGGGGG AHHHHHHHHH
(My mom interrupted me three times. I am so unamused. Will have to read again.)

Jules, you are not supposed to be wearing your food." Paul adds, as Jules looks suitably sheepish, gravy smeared across his chin. OMG JULES JUST ;A; AND PAUL LIKE A DAD SO CUTE OMG
( ... )
I can't write unhappy endings, they upset me too much, so you're safe here! :D Thank you! :D The caps is fine, don't worry! I always read them in a really excited mental voice, it's fun! And I spent most of this imaging Jules and Sam as kids on the farm and running around barefoot and getting all mucky and going swimming and playing with the dogs and teaching Nico to play cricket or something like that. They'd be so adorably cute.
Oh this is so beautiful, love how it was done in snapshots throughout their time together and I'm so glad it had a happy ending! I had a funny feeling it wouldn't and Nico would go back to Germany and stay or that he would have been transferred elsewhere before the war ended, which would have been awful on both counts!
I think one of my favourite bits is this The thick coat is snug around him, fitting nicely over a rather badly-knitted but otherwise very warm jumper, and it smells gorgeous. Musky and manly and of the outside, exactly how he imagines Paul to smell. and I'm not entirely sure why, but to use your very own words, it is gorgeous and warm.
Thank you! I don't do unhappy endings, I had to give them a happy one, I love them too much to be mean to them. Paul's badly-knitted jumpers do sound very nice, I'd want one if it was colder than it is now!
*tissues for you* I can't write unhappy endings, so you're safe here! Writing upset Jules was nearly too much but then I couldn't have him going back to France after the war, so. :/ Thank you, this is what happens when you end up watching the entire series of Wartime Farm in a day - "ooh, what if Nico was a POW".... I've wikipedia-d it, it has Daniel Bruhl in! I like him, he's in Rush. Anyhoo...
Was it about evacuees or something? I think I vaguely recall it. (If you ever feel like watching, the entire series is on Youtube. I'd recommend just for Alex's jumper, it's fabulous and I want one.) I loved him in Goodbye Lenin. And me neither! Want to see it so bad!
