So much lately. I came back from Florida to the sounds of not only my mother wailing about my absence, but also the patients. It's nice to be missed, but my own wailing soon joined theirs when I realized how messed up things were. Ugh. Most of the billing Chris had sent off was sent back to be redone, I had a nice sized stack of work waiting on me, none of the labs/reports had been done (signed off etc) and some hadn't been printed or weren't printed properly. Patients were so used to being on hold for an hour+ that when I put someone on hold for even 20 seconds they hung up. All I kept hearing when I answered the phone was "I'm so glad you're back" from the patients, ditto when they came in for their appointments.
Blood draws are going great. Up to 92. I've only bruised one person; my niece. I don't think she applied pressure when I asked her to hold down the gauze while I got the coflex to wrap her arm. I've been trying to get the new MA to learn to draw blood. She knows how to do it, but she's been missing everyone. She tried on one woman last Friday (missed and I had to draw her) who came in yesterday to schedule an appointment and check on her lab results. There was a huge bruise where Karolina drew on her right arm, it was awful looking. Not a single mark on the left arm where I drew her. I had to calm Karolina down after the woman left. I'm afraid she won't ever try again after seeing that bruise. It was really nasty looking, dark purple and about the size of a silver dollar :( Again, the problem lies with applying pressure. Or not going through the vein, heh.
We went up to Tom's (my brother) for Courtney's birthday the weekend before last. I'm exhausted. The weekends are kicking my ass. Too much family to-do. Everyone sang with his cool little toy machine. :) Yes even me. We have a clip of it but I refuse to upload it :P
We celebrated our one year anniversary at the clinic this past week also, August 2nd. I bought a cool cake and Steve sent flowers that matched our cake.
My cousin's baby shower was this past weekend. Went very well. They had this cool picture of the ultrasound on the cake.
All of the latest pictures can be seen here:
Mucho Pictures Off to work. There's more, but I have to get ready. Oh I cut my hair, I will post a new pic another day ;) It's an awesome new do though. I have a new hairdresser. She's wicked good with scissors hehe. Best haircut I've ever had really. And I've discovered ceramic straightening irons. No more curl. Yay! Anyway, I want to hear all about the con. Later loves.

Ok, at the baby shower, nobody wanted to cut into the baby cake, so my cousin Bev (featured in one picture posing with the white shorts) decided to be the first and ate the baby's head. I dubbed her a cannibal :P She later cut the baby's penis off and fed it to her nephew, David. Great food. My family can cook. Danielle is the mommy to-be with the burgandy shirt on standing sideways. Her sister is a little beauty, sorry I didn't get a pic of her for you drooling youths out there. She's 16, a hottie and she knows it. She's funny though, has a wonderful sense of humor. Jacque is standing up giving me this look of "I'm going to kick your ass for this later" and wearing a flower print shirt. She's a riot, I love her. Her son was murdered when I was pregnant with Stephanie. (Someone in my family has died with each of my pregnancies: Dre' = My uncle from colon cancer, Miranda = My great grandfather, Cara = My grandmother, and Stephanie = Kyle, murdered. And always late in my pregnancies.)
At my niece's birthday party, the pics are included in the baby shower pics, we sang a lot. My brother did most of the singing, he should have gone pro. He's damn good. Billie also sang a lot, Courtney's best friend. She's got a beautiful voice. My brother is the one wearing the cowboy hat. Billie is next to my niece in most pics and she's holding the mic and singing in another pic. The woman with long brown hair standing with her hands behind her back is my brother's fiance, Robin. My niece can't stand her. Pity, she's a nice gal. The family adores her. She has five kids by five daddies. I adore the two little ones I've met, Zoey and Audrey, they're awesome. The older one I met at the party was sort of... unusual. She kept beating up on her boyfriend. Yikes. Anyway, their house is amazing. I fell in love with it. Four bedrooms upstairs 1 1/2 baths, they turned the dining room into the master bedroom. It has a full attic upstairs that can be converted easily. It's fantastic. The basement is wicked cool too. It was a mansion converted into a double.
The cake and flowers for the anniversary were a perfect match. Now and then Steve sheds his dickheadedness and does something wonderful like that. It shocked us all ^.^
Ok bedtime, I'm tired.
