The more I think about it, the more I wish you had quit years ago. I can't believe this woman, regardless if it's your mom, treats you like this. You should just tell her the big "F U" and ignore her. Don't go out of your way to avoid her, just don't care. If she calls, answer, talk, she brings up something you don't like or say something you don't agree on, just hang up or walk away. She treats you like dirt, just don't care because she's not important enough to care.

Get yourself a job that is normal hours, maybe 9-3pm or something part time at a grocery store or something, i don't know, or focus on finishing up school and your family.

I had great luck with that approach with my mother. Twice now I've 'disowned' her... I didn't answer when she called, didn't try to get in touch with her, just pretended she didn't exist. But I think the other approach is better. I don't put up with the bullshit and the lies anymore, for the most part. She's learned that trying to dredge up past wrongs only results in a dead line, so for the most part she sticks to safe subjects. I hesitate to say it, but I'd almost say we've gotten to be friends. Sort of.
