As of last fall, state legislature decided that the little strip of Indiana that didn't have to recognize daylight savings time must now do so beginning this spring. Bleh. So now I have to change my clocks this weekend. Stupid. What's the point of that when for the past hundreds of years it hasn't made a difference? Why change it now and screw everyone up who have blissfully ignored this stupid and pointless time confusion?
The baby boy, Kyle, is going back once again. The family decided they wanted him back because they were upset his name was going to be changed. The girl who gave birth to him (she was 14 when he was conceived and 15 when he was born) treats him like a doll to play with. She doesn't get up with him at night and doesn't take care of him, her mother does. She only plays with him then hands him off when she's done or bored with him. The last time they dropped him off here he was so malnourished it was frightening. You could see his ribs. They were feeding him baby cereal and apple sauce because formula was too expensive. Yet they want him back. I'm worried about him. They could kill this baby with their ignorance. They ambushed me and stopped by yesterday without permission, mom had no idea they were coming by. I refused to let them see him so they went to the clinic and demanded to see mom. The birth mother showed her ass evidently so mom stated she was not allowed at the house. The grandparents came back and I let them hold him and feed him. They stayed an hour. He's going back tomorrow. It sucks so bad. There isn't anything we can do to stop it, there weren't any legal documents signed. I told mom that if this happens again, to make the mother and grandparents sign a waiver relinquishing all rights. The father disappeared evidently and has a warrant out for his arrest for three counts of child molestation and statutory rape. Evidently the youngest girl he's had sex with is twelve. He's 20. Sicko.
My nephew fell off his bike while racing with a friend last night and broke his femur (thigh bone). He goes in for surgery at 2:00 today. Courtney called me nearly hysterical last night. He'll be fine, just lugging around one huge ass cast and possibly some pins depending on how bad the break is.
Dre' gets his license soon. I'm now the "Nanny" for Molly. She ended up in the hospital Monday. Both babies have chicken pox and Molly has RSV. Evidently the sitter they went to watches several children and her house isn't that clean. She was in the hospital for two days. So now the little girls, Steph and Cara, get off the bus here. The plus to this is that I don't have to see Mom :P I leave when Julie gets home, which is hours before her.
Not much else to update. My kids are healthy and doing very well. Miranda has a boyfriend. Egads. I laid out some hefty rules! heh
More later, have a fussing baby.
