Title: Did NOT!
Rating: pg-13
Pairing: henber, henry/amber
Summary: Henry thinks Amber kissed Kris, so he's obviously pretty much jealous jealous jealous.
A/N: OH MY GOD AAAANNNHHHH I NEVER EXPECTED THIS  AT SMTOWN LA XDDD

Her eyes snap open at the marimba ringtone of her phone. Amber groggily stumbles out of her bed, half tripping over her bedsheets. Shit. She needs to go pee. Whoever’s calling can wait later.

She scrubs her hands clean as the toilet flushes noisily and shuffles back to the bed, falling face-first into her pillows. Dull pain wracks her entire skull and her throat is deathly parched. She really shouldn’t have had that extra martini at the after party last night. She groans again because her stomach is on the verge of dry heaving whatever’s left of it own contents.  At this rate, there’s no way in hell she’s going to leave her bed anytime soon. Oh wait. Someone had called her.

Amber checks her phone. It’s noon, and the notifications tell her she has 5 missed calls (all from Henry) and a gazillion text messages (no surprise, from Henry as well).  The call times range from 5 AM to 11 AM in the morning, all during the times when he explicitly told her he couldn’t talk to her because he was filming an important scene. What in god’s name even possessed him to do that? She sighs as best she could (with a dry throat) and listens to one of several voice messages he left.

His voice crackles a little, probably from bad service in Thailand, but nevertheless, his words are audible.

“Amber. We need to talk, stat.”

What? As far as she’s concerned, she didn’t do anything wrong.

Next message.

“Amber, it’s 8:30 your time. Aren’t you awake already? We need to talk. Now.”

A couple more messages along the same line. In none of them does Henry actually state what’s eating him.

But really?

Huh. She must have missed these while she was knocked out in her hangover coma.

She purses her lips and hits ‘call back.’ It’s already past midnight in Bangkok, but she figures if Henry really has something urgent to say, he’s probably staying up anyways.

No surprise, he picks up almost immediately.

“Amber?”

She turns to flop on her stomach.

“Yes, douche, it’s me. What did you want to talk to me about when you were supposed to be shooting for your movie?” She makes sure to stress the movie part, because she knows for a fact that at some point, he was excited for the acting opportunity and he promised her he would ‘give it his all,’ which she highly doubts as of now.

The line is silent for a few seconds, as if Henry’s trying to compose his words carefully.

Amber narrows her eyes. “Geez, just tell me, what is it?”

Another awkward pause, then

Henry says quickly, almost mumbling over his words, “I heard from Lay that you kissed Kris.”

She guffaws. “What?”

“At SMtown last night. God, Am. It was on twitter too, and some crazy fans even mentioned me in their tweets, for heavens sake.”

Henry sounds worried, rushed, and anxious.

Amber rolls her eyes. Was he as gullible as to actually believe that?

She snorts into the phone.

“Dude, you either have no common sense or you just don’t have the facts straight. I didn’t kiss him, however much you would like to believe that.”

She could sense Henry wincing on the other side of the line.

“I saw pictures. PICTURES, AMBER. You were on your tiptoes, a centimeter close to his face and he looks like he’s blushing beet red.”

“Can’t you hear a single word that I say? My lips didn’t so much as touch his face.”

“Still, it at least must have LOOKED like you guys were flirting or whatever,” he says petulantly. “Now everyone is screaming for, and I quote, ‘Krisber’…and to be honest, that’s the ugliest name for a pairing that I’ve ever heard.”

She can’t help but snigger, even though it hurts her abdomen like hell.

“Seriously, when you’re jealous, you say the stupidest things, Henry. Have some common sense. You want to know what I was really doing?”

Pause.

“No.”

Pause.

“Fine then, it’s not like you’ll believe me anyways. I’m hanging up. That’s what you get for your rude, rude, RUDE phone calls at the most inopportune of all times.”

Henry sputters over the phone. “No! Wait Am, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. What actually went down?”

She shifts to lean on her pillow.

“Okay…but you can’t tell Kris okay? Promise.”

“Alright! Just tell me the truth!!” he whines.

“Okay, Okay. It only looked like I was kissing him because I was super close to his cheek…but I was actually whispering to his ear that his fly was unzipped.”

Henry doesn’t say a word, but she can tell he’s still on the line. Amber’s hoping he’s sulking there, lips pressed in a tight line, beating himself over for making a brash misunderstanding, but he’s probably gone awkward turtle and just decided not to reply.

Well if he’s not going to say a word, she might as well continue.

“Really, Henry. Wouldn’t you want someone to tell you when your fly is open? You don’t want fancams of your tighty-whities like when your PANTS RIPPED during SMtown Tokyo.”

“THEY WERE NOT THAT RIPPED!”

Ouch. She hit a sore spot.

But she can tell that the conflict’s been resolved because seconds later, he’s telling her of this story that happened to him the other day, where he supposedly set the kitchen on fire because he was too drunk to do anything that required the simplest of skillsets.

After an hour of catching up, they finally hang up, and Amber gets up to get a drink of water from the fridge.

Just moments later, she gets an angry text from Kris:

-WHY DID YOU TELL HENRY HYUNG ABOUT MY UNZIPPED FLY >( -

She can’t help but break into a full grin. Oh, Wu Fan is totally going to kill her on the plane ride back.
