Usually, I download some songs, and if I like it, I buy a cd.
He's one of my favorites, though, so I bought it before I listened to the song.
Just for the record though, I would have bought it even if I'd listened to it first. I'm not a big fan of it yet, but I am one of those silly fans who will buy just about any cd that has a favorite artist's name on it. :(
What I've heard so far from people is "It's probably his worst album but it's still really great." So maybe it will grow on you. Sometimes I find all it takes is for a different day to come along, and an album suddenly feels completely different.
i'm not a big Ben Folds fan in the first place, but i've had similar experiences with other albums. chances are, your taste in music is fine. a lot of people have a habbit of convincing themselves they love a cd by a favorite artist even when that artist starts to slip. you cant stay great forever. that, or its one of those albums that needs to grow on you. that happens a lot too.

What I think he lost abit since splitting with the rest of BF5 is the energy that he once had.
But I'm seeing him in six weeks. Whoo.

I really liked his first solo album, but low energy is a good way to describe the second one.
It is a decent album, but I got my hopes up pretty high for it, so I was pretty let down.
