Oh yes, and would you like to know why? Because WOSU has been trying to put WCBE out of business for at least the past ten years, because apparently they believe there can only be one NPR station in Columbus. It really is depressing -- our two stations could be working together, or maybe even merge into one big massive NPR force. But instead, no, WOSU needs to drive WCBE into the ground like the dogs that they are. >.<
*end rant*
Sorry -- this is a constant source of frustration at the station -- not directed towards you.
i'm sorry.... i was mourning the loss of my classical music. i know it sucks for you guys, i didn't get the impression that it was intentionally harmful to cbe, i'm sorry if it is their intention.
*nodnod* I wish they wouldn't pull their classical music either -- they're the only ones in Columbus who play it as far as I know, and it's been a really nice set of programs to listen to.
Not your fault -- granted, I don't know all the interworkings of WOSU, but from the many stories I've heard...yeah, it just gets really frustrating. WOSU gets a large amount of its funding from the university, so for them to switch programming, even if their listener group is aging (read: we don't get enough donations), is pretty bunk.
But hey, who knows -- maybe WCBE will decide to add radio dramas as part of their new programming.... ^_^;;
