The Tank.

So I adopted an abandoned betta fish the other day and put him in a tank I had bought because it was on sale. You put all those in the tank with the betta? I'm surprised he hasn't killed himself trying to kill the others. They're notoriously aggressive. There are even companies that make double-betta tanks, which are essentailly two tiny tanks connected by a divider with an opaque plastic plankthing that you can pull out from the clear one to see them get all aggressive and fin-flarey at each other.

That was clear as mud. Anyway.

Your guppy fry probably won't make it :\. But here's to hoping! :D

Yeah, I know what you're talking about with the divider. And yep, put them in WITH the betta. I had thought the same thing about nothing being allowed in with them, BUT according to my fish-friendly Petco pals, it is actually okay to put anything EXCEPT other bettas in with a betta male. Chadwick seems more curious about the other fish than aggressive. I actually now have a picture on my phone of him nosing up to Gandhi just like "wtf are you!?" at him. But they seem to all be getting along. I watched them pretty intensely for like twenty minutes just to make sure - I definitely don't ( ... )
