What's new

The wild ride continues.

I got a new bike. 1998 Honda Pacific Coast 800. It's everything I've been wanting in a bike - newer, nicer, lots of cargo space, room for hfcougar on the back, reliable, low maintenance... I've rambled about it plenty on my bike blog, so I won't bore you here. Sadly the seller made one small incorrect mark on the back of the title, and that's screwed up putting it in the road. He's working with me to fix that, and I'm waiting for his notarized "I meant to do this, not that" letter to arrive in the mail that will let me register it. I've demodified the Silverwing and started posting ads to sell it. Wrong time of year, I know, but I really can't store two bikes all winter.

LARP stuff is going awesomely. Prophecy was last weekend, and I lost count of how many times I saved the world. By fixing a particular device (a music box), I found myself at the center of the triumphant conclusion of one of the major plots, as this music box was the key to winning the final battle against these foes and depended entirely on me removing one from an amplifier and attaching this one instead. No pressure - it was only EVERYONE depending on me. :) But I succeeded, and we were victorious. I also got married in-game, which was fun to play out. I'm sad that I'll only get to play this character one more time - P3 ends with the November game. But on a positive note, it's official - Covenant is on for a 3 year campaign starting next spring. I'm casting this one and looking forward to it.

Work is work. Same ol' same ol'

This Saturday I get to feel old at my 20 year high school reunion. Eh - whatever. Everyone else is probably settled down with kids and stuff. Not for me. I'm trying to settle down a bit myself, but not that way. It'll be interesting to see what double the years has done with people.

I suppose that's about it for now.
