I came across Chimera Bloom’s fic’s in 2003, that was the same year she stopped updating, and the same year her site went down. I’ve tried googling and looking up what I could of her work, but other than some sites holding a broken link to her Buffy the Vampire Slayer fanfiction, there was nothing. What I could find out about the author was that she did not feel comfortable sharing her work on internet sites that was not her own. Since all her stories were of the NC-17 variety, I can understand.
Nevertheless! this doesn’t mean that one cannot access Chimera Blooms fanfiction, or her wonderful original fiction. You only need two pieces of information and a working knowledge of the Way Back.
The How To Guide

Step one: highlight and copy Chimera Blooms address
Step two: go to the Way Back site
Step three: paste address into the Way Back field and click ‘Take Me Back’ button (make sure you keep the ‘http:’ before the ‘www’ or it won’t work. This will bring up a list, by year, of dates the Way Back scanned the site to archive its pages.
Step four: the last date her site was updated was on 07.18.2003 (it will also be the date with the least breaks in links), so click on the date closest to that date. Clicking on anything after 2003 will get you ad’s.
Help/Trouble Shooting: it might be more helpful when using the Way Back for any site (not just Chimera Blooms), if you keep the Way Back address handy. This way when you encounter a broken link, just highlight the page address in the address bar and use the Way Back again for that page by its self. If that doesn’t work, go back and choose an earlier date to find that missing link, and use that link for the missing chapter. If those two do not work, then the Way Back never got around to making a copy. I can assure you though, that using all the links available from 2002 to 2003 that I have been able to read each chapter she posted.

Overall opinion of Chimera Blooms work: Chimera Bloom is a femme slash writer of Original and fan fiction. Each fic written by this writter contains several explicit themes of sex, rape and violence. The BtVS fanfic’s more so than her original fic’s. Reader discretion is advised, and author has a 18 or older banner on her front page. If these do not bother you, then I recommend reading her work.
Original, sexy, thrilling and a fantastical read. Each story was something I immersed myself into so deeply I was disappointed when there wasn’t more to read, and kinda surprised where the time went when I was done. I loved the characters and vivid descriptions she invoked, and the hotness in the sex scenes. Chimera Bloom’s writing is a talent the lesbian and yuri communities need more of, something that is a dime a dozen in the yaoi and het community, but rarely seen in girl on girl fiction not just on-line but in books as well.
The work I liked best by Chimera Bloom was her “Predators” original fiction. Gripping science fiction action and a world distorted by new breeds of humans. The tribes and cultures described are well thought out and effectively believable. It’s a story that doesn’t rely on the sex between woman to get an audience, but its original plot and outstanding story telling. However, “Predators” was never finished before Chimera Bloom stopped updating.
I truly wish she had not stopped updating her site. I don’t know the reasons, no site I went looking had any explanation.
Also, she did some Voyager fan fiction. I haven’t even tried to read it because I really don’t like the show so I’m doing my best to mention it but gloss over it at the same time.
