I'm not expecting that Chloe will be any of them, but if he were, Blueberry makes the most sense to me because whatever that is on his face, matches Chloe's domino mask. I don't actually think anything was actually wrong with his face in the last few chapters of Side B though, I think he got a head wound near his hairline and the blood dripped down.

Anyway, I wish the VU site would get updated!

I didn't comment as soon as I read this, which is usually bad, since I might not remember to, but in this case it's good because I can tell you that I've thought about this chapter more than once since I read it. The first part surprised me because I'd thought the story was going to continue (and I certainly would have enjoyed that!), but I liked what you did. I liked leading into it with the art, which might no have worked as well if you hadn't been using art from Side B all along (although I don't know; it's a pretty solid set-up). And the writing and story of Chloe losing and finding himself really is lovely - lovely writing, interesting plot. I was surprised again by the Velvet Underworld ending; it's fitting, though. And, as others have said, a welcome happy ending (well, mostly happy - it's hard for me to fit Aya not winding up with Yoji into my ultimate definition of happy, but it's good to stretch).

The whole fic ended up being twice as long as I originally imagined when I started it, but I always planned on ending it there. Writing any more from there wouldn't have had much of a point really, because in the last chapter, Aya and Chloe had pretty much worked out their main differences. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed where it went! It was an interesting fic for me to write and very difficult to work so closely with the manga. I almost wish I could write more of the VU characters, but there's just too many, and really, the point is Aya and Chloe.

That said... I'm a Yohji/Aya shipper all the way! I love the two of them more than any other pairing, except maybe Gojyo/Hakkai.

You may be happy to know that I started writing my Yohji/Aya mini wrimo fic this morning! \o/

*applauds* I just loved the tone you set with the first half of the chapter. I felt Chloe's despair and wanted Aya to find him again but it was better for Chloe to return on his own. And Aya knowing exactly how long he was gone (2 months and 10 days) really must have brought it home to Chloe how much Aya cared for and missed him. ♥
