Summer rant!
It's HOT.
I just got back from my mother's house, where I was trying to escape from the scalding heat. Unsuccessfully, I might add; it was even hotter in the village than it is in the town I live now; and no shops near enough to buy mineral water. 2 km walk to the nearest shop, in the scorching sun, no trees to hide under..? NO THANK YOU.
Thus, I'm back; drinking gallons of mineral water on the rocks and trying to pretend that I'm not melting yet... XD
Teh overwhelming heat makes me lazy, bored and yet weirdly creative. As it is too hot for me to do anything remotely productive (except my part-time job), I'm spending my summer holidays sweating, reading, eating fruits, finally taking care of my poor mistreated teeth (dentist, ugh, v. expensive appointments), piercing my ears, and so on.
Good: only one more appointment left, and all my teeth will be in perfect condition. It seems I finally got rid of my dentist-phobia...
Bad: No money left. :(
Did I mention I pierced my ears a few days ago..? :) I was too cheap to just have my ears pierced by a professional, so I did it by myself... Gee, blood was everywhere. Who thought there is so much blood in human ear..? I had trouble putting the earring in, because my fingers were slippery from the blood. :)
My uncle almost fainted when he saw me with needle still in my ear - he hates the very sight of blood. Duh, maybe that will teach him to /knock/ before barging in into my room... >:O
I read HP&HBP just two days after it was released. My friend got it from her brother and immediately lent me the book because her English is too poor to read quickly. XD She wanted me to read it ASAP and summarize it to her... Lucky! <3

Finally teh Slytherins shined! Oh, Draco! Oh, Narcissa! Blaise! Snape! Pansy! <333 I really loved it, which surprised me because I disliked the previous one. Too bad the HBP is so short... ;_;
The only thing that left me somewhat disappointed was the romance between, argh, Harry and his chosen one. Really sudden, just jumps at the reader out of nowhere - no background, no appropriate set up - and disappears as quickly as it appeared. In spite of proclaiming the chosen one as "Harry's perfect girlfriend" there's just not enough interaction between them, no chemistry, no UST, no trust. :(
Oh, and Harry is gay as tree full of monkeys. XD If I read the phrase "sleek blond hair" even once again... XDD
I liked Bill/Fleur, though. <3
I can't wait for the next book. /(^.^)/
I watched a lot of movies and anime, too, and I probably will rant about them sometime in the near future. Some of them were /great/ and yet get no LUV in the fandom. (._.)
I also finished some pics, but that's a topic for the next post. (^-^)
